Karlsruhe is easily accessible. By car, the city is connected to three motorways (A5, A8 and A65). By train, it is directly connected to the Hamburg-Basel ICE line and via Stuttgart to Munich. The TGV train will take you to Paris in just three hours. If you travel by plane, we recommend landing at one of the following airports: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, or Frankfurt International Airport with direct ICE connection to Karlsruhe. Onsite, you can travel by tram, bus and S-Bahn (suburban railway) in a very well developed public transport network.

Travelling by car
If you are coming from the A5/ A8, please take exit no. 45 “Karlsruhe-Mitte” in the direction of Karlsruhe. Leave the B10 in the direction of “Stadtmitte/Zentrum”. If you are coming from the A 65/ or B10, please take exit no. 2 in the direction of “Kongresszentrum”. Follow the signs to “Kongresszentrum”. Note: The Convention Centre is located in the city centre. Karlsruhe is an environmental zone; the green sticker is mandatory.

Parking at the Convention Centre “Kongresszentrum”
public underground car park with 1,000 parking spaces is on the con vention centre’s campus. The multi-storey car park has three e-charging station parking spaces marked in green on parking level C. Here you can charge your electric vehicle (with type 2 plug) for free. A fee is charged for entering the underground car park. Additional parking is available at the main railway station or in the surrounding multi-storey car parks in the city centre.

Travelling to the Convention Centre by public transport
From the main railway station, take the tram lines S1/S11, S4, S7, S8 and S52 and the tram line 2. You will stop at the U Kongresszentrum stop. Information on the current timetable and detour routes can be found on the website of the Karlsruhe Transport Authority: www.kvv.de
